Things to Do near Arcadian Getaways
Most of our guests truly get away to Arcadian Getaways and never leave their cottage, but if you’re getting cabin fever or want to explore the Oklahoma City area, check out the following attractions & activities:
Guthrie – 5 miles
Starting as a railroad stop along the AT&SF Railroad, Guthrie became a town of 10,000 in one day on April 22, 1889, the day of the Oklahoma Land Run. It was named the state capital when Oklahoma became the 46th state of the United States. Later, the capital moved to Oklahoma City, but Guthrie has retained all of its historic charm.
Guthrie is home to many museums, art and antique shopping, and homey restaurants. You won’t see a lot of chain restaurants, but local flavors like Stables Cafe or Boneyard Grill.
Visit www.GuthrieOk.com for lots of ideas about exploring Guthrie.
Edmond – 5 miles
