100 Years!!!
Happy Birthday, Oklahoma!

    From the Arcadian Inn B&B!
The Historical Oklahoma Homes that make up the Arcadian Inn Bed & Breakfast in Edmond have watched as our Great State has grown up.  Many of you have enjoyed the "little green house" next door to the "big yellow house" as you have been swept away to your own world in the Captain's Quarters and Magnolia Suite.  The "little green house" was built in 1907 for Rev. Toole when he came to live near his son after his wife died.  The "little green house" has seen alot of changes in 100 years, lots of memories have been made within it's walls.
One memory we are proud to be apart of is the life of a little girl, Amanda Middlebrook, who lived in the "little green house" as a child and played in the Magnolia tree.  Amanda is now an Assistant Innkeeper at the Arcadian Inn Bed & Breakfast.  She has moved back to Edmond to attend the University of Central Oklahoma.

The Crew!
We are having a blast with our new crew!  We welcome Danyell (Mark's Wife) as Director of Housekeeping at the Arcadian Inn.  LeOnce Oliphant teasingly calls her "Boss" as he cheerfully and deligently puts the Magic back into your guestroom for your stay tonight.

As we said above, Amanda Middlebrook has come "home" to work as our weekend Assistant Innkeeper and Evening Hostess.  You will thoroughly enjoy her happy attitude and the elegant way she caters to your needs.

Aaron's Gate has its own "Boss" too.   Britt Peacock has joined our family to share her expertise as a Professional Housekeeper, caring for your cottage.  She is joined by Erika Tanquary as keeping 4 cottages in the country sparkling is a big endeavor.

Britt has a special "friend" out at Aaron's Gate,  Carl.   Carl looks to be a mix of Rottreiler and Shepard and somewhat a puppy still.  He just appeared at Aaron's Gate but the guests are loving him and he's loving them back.

Stephen Hall is home from college in Pittsburg, Kansas and doing his internship at Bryan Harley Davidson in Moore, Oklahoma.   So if you hear the Sportster fire-up in the mornings, it's Stephen heading off to work.  In his sparetime, he's working on a water feature at the inn.

Of course, you know, that our Son, Mark, is working as General Manager of the Inn, as the baton of Innkeeping is passed on.  Mark and Danyell are working very hard with Gary and Martha and Hurshel & Edith to keep up the high standards of hospitality and romance the Arcadian Inn is known for.

Gary and Mark and Le'Once are working on the Cardinal out at Aaron's Gate for Gary and Martha to live in.

Martha's Recommendations

  •      I'm reading Max Lucado's "Everyday Deserves a Chance" and have to run out and read every chapter with Gary.  Our favorite line now is "my favorite!".  You'll have to check it out to see what that means.

  •       We had Danyell's Birthday dinner at Lottinvilles' Wood Grill in May.  We love the bread and the ribs!  Of course, I always have their Reuben Sandwich.  Thank you to Mike and Lori Jones for being a big part of the success of the Arcadian Inn Bed & Breakfast.

  •          Guests are loving a book we have in our guestrooms, Confessions of a Pastor by Craig Groeschel, Lifechurch.tv   One special guest came to spend her anniversary with us again, they've been coming for years.  She arrived overwhelmed with concerns in her life.  But after a dip in the tub and turning to Craig's chapter on Worry, she left renewed.

  •          Another recommendation we would like to make is a day of pampering before you get to the Inn at the Tender Touch Spa .   Let Cassie, Martha and Jennifer give you the Royal Treatment.  Cassie is certified in Eyelash Extensions!
  •        Don't forget 4th of July at the Arcadian Inn. We have a complimentary Parade for our guests in the morning and complimentary Fireworks in the evening!
Thank You for taking the time to read our News!  Do keep in touch and keep up with all of the new things happening here at the Arcadian Inn.  Because you read all the way to the bottom, ask for your newsletter discount of $5 when you make a reservation for the month of July.  If you book online, just mention it in the notes.
